Wheels and offsetThe Audi Sport wheels are 7.5" rims by 17". The offset is 32mm. I used a set of rear spacers of 15mm to give it a fatter look in the rear. The tires are Pirelli 6000 225/45/17 91W. My Volkswagen dealer ordered them and installed them for me.Just to give you an idea on the quality of this set up, one of the wheels has no weight added to the balance. This was check three times for accuracy. I couldn't believe it myself. Here is a few shots that really give you a good look at the wheels and how they fit on the car. Also I torque all lugs to 120 Nm and all my lugs are treated with high temperature anti-seize compound. Here is my side pictures, my wheel don't rub at all. These pictures are a bit old now but the offset is the same.A closer look at the wheels and how they fit.My Audi Sports, with 15 mm spacer, rear picture.NEW!Two Tone Painted Calipers, Red Carriers and Silver Calipers.
My friend Dragon's offset on his 1996 Golf GTI edition. This is the way most VW enthusiasts in Deutschland do their cars. Here is a good side look at Dragon's GTI, the front wheels are spaced out at 15mm and the rear is at 35mm. He has widened his fenders and modified it to except the wide stance. There is no rubbing on Dragons VW. He runs 15" rims with 195/45/15 tires Pretty amazing. here I have taken a picture of Dragon's rear wheel were you can actually see the rim, the spacer ,and the rotor. Remember that is a 35mm spacer. Dragon's VW is pretty low right now, with Koni adjustable he goes up and down depending on his mood. Usually his VW is a lot lower than this. Cigarette box to give you an example on how low it is right now. Also you can look down the side and see how those tires fit under his car. Here a picture of his whole front end and another look at the wide stance his VW has. |
